Saturday 3 September 2011

We are all really tired at the moment! Praise the Lord for strength and travelling mercies to get through our hectic season of conferences. Soon we will be able to put all our exhibition stand equipment away for a season!

New Wine Shepton Mallet 23rd July - 6th August

I went down to Shepton Mallet for my third year at New Wine.

Once again I called upon the generous hospitality of Colin and Jean, and was again blessed beyond abundance. Colin let me to help set up our stand:

...and Jean faithfully made sure I was well fed and watered:

For the first week the stall was manned by Colin, myself, and Lesley-Anne:

...this was our stall in the Exhibition Hall:

...Colin and Lesley-Anne were diligent and faithful to share the cry of the unreached world with every Christian who came across us:

...and we got sponsorships! Praise the Lord! I got pictures of 4 of them (we got 5 in total):

For the second week Jean replaced Lesley-Anne at the stall. She spoke to many people about how the Lord is reaching the lost in Asia through National Missionaries, and gave out many free copies of "Revolution in World Missions":

This is a picture of Jean, Jean, Colin and Colin!

Grapevine 26th - 30th August

Last week I drove to the Lincolnshire Showground for the Grapevine conference:

...I got completely soaked while putting up my tent! Still, the rain has it's benefits:

I set up camp next to Richard and Brenda's campervan:

Richard and Brenda kindly committed to helping to man our stall at Grapevine:

...and tirelessly encouraged people to consider the reality of 80,000 people dying in Asia without Christ every day:

...and one couple sponsored a missionary!

Richard and Brenda also took charge of looking after me while I was at Grapevine, ensuring that I was properly fed and cared for:

...and helped to secure my tent when it seemed entirely possible that it would be carried off by the gales!

Forum 5th September - 9th September

On Monday I am off to Forum, which is a UCCF event, hosted by the Quinta Convention Centre:

Forum's aim is to equip University Christian Union leaders for mission. It is our first time there and we hope to bring the message of reaching the most unreached in Asia to them. I would appreciate your prayers for strength and energy for my time there!

At The Office

Please pray for the completion our new website. The old one has died, and we have been struggling to get the new one completed. Some of us have been working longer hours to try and get it finished, and we would appreciate your prayers!

It should go live on Monday, but the sponsor function does not work. We will be a sponsorship organisation whose website does not allow sponsorship :-(

Thanks for your patience and kindness!

News from Norwich

I have heard that dear friend Libby Dean, wife and mother of 3, went home to be with the Lord after a battle with cancer.

I am planning to be at the funeral in Norwich on Friday 9th, which will be at 11:45am at St. Faith's Crematorium, followed by a thanksgiving service next door. Please remember the Deans in your prayers, for peace and comfort from the Lord.

Thank you for spending this time with me,

JP
