Monday 21 May 2012

Greetings my friends! Thank you for taking some time to catch up with us. We've had a busy few weeks:

KP Yohannan Visit - 22nd-23rd April

We were more than blessed to have Brother KP in the UK for a few short days. He spoke at Ivy Church in Manchester, a church which meets in a cinema:

...we had a book table there with books and missionary sponsorship profiles and we had 15 sponsorships:

We also had a time for Brother KP to be our office in York (for the first time!) and we were encouraged, challenged, and stirred by his words.

Norwich Visit - 27th-29th April

The following weekend saw Angie and I in Norwich visiting my family and Servants Church. It was nice seeing my home church doing so well, and they had gotten us some cake and flowers to celebrate our marriage:

We hung out at my mothers house:

...played chinese cards with my aunt Cette:

...and spent some time with my siblings:

We also spent some time at my dad's where we were very well fed:

Coffee Cake! - Thursday 3rd May

A few days later we visited Ryan and Zoe for dinner and it was a huge blessing, one of the highlights being this wonderful coffee cake made by their son Joshua:

GO!2012 - 4th-8th May

The next day we all headed down to Bulstrode, WEC's headquarters near London, for GO!2012, their 4-day Missions Conference (WEC is C.T. Studd's mission organisation):

We had faithful Volunteers David, Beverly, Paul and Ruth manning our missionary sponsorship stand:

...and we served during the conference as WEC Volunteers doing things like kitchen duty:

...and serving food, doing what we could to keep warm!

Bulstrode also has some very nice grounds which we explored during off-duty hours:

Following weekend - rest!

The next weekend, after Friday Night prayer, we took a few days off and locked ourselves at home to catch up on some rest and relaxation. I didn't realise how tired I was and was glad for the extra sleep!

Back to serving Jesus

We are now back at the office and carrying on doing what we can to get the message of reaching the unreached out to the UK church, and encouraging them that the Great Commission is still ours, still unfinished, and still urgent.

We continue to be blessed by office Volunteers and currently have Catherine's brother helping us out.

I just want to share about this cool story on our website from last month; one of our missionaries was witnessing to this guy Ronak:

...but he never paid any interest - until the Lord gave him a dream! Read about it here.

Thanks for reading again, and thank you for love, support and prayers. Thank you for sharing in our lives and for your partnership in the Gospel.

God bless you brothers and sisters, may grace and peace be with you,

JP & Angie
